YBDPT BOOKS - A NEW DAY EXHIBITION
There is nothing more beautiful and more exciting than a new day. After a long pause, we are happy to pronounce that YBDPT BOOKS is coming back with a new book publication. This time in close cooperation with the German photographer "Paul Gregor". The charismatic young man, born in Spain, has a strong sense for colors and shapes of all kinds. Some of his long-time exposed photographs seem to be like hyper realistic paintings. Reality and fiction are very close to each other.
The book will be published on the occasion of the one night exhibition "A New Day" at Island / Hamburg, where the whole presentation will take place. ATOM NR.001 - DJ SLAP
Some of you have noticed, that we are big music fans. It doesn't matter what a kind of music - we adore all genres. The more sophisticated the better.
So it's not coincidence that we have released our first mixtape a few days ago. Our new podcast-series is calling "ATOM", which is standing for: A Taste Of Magic. At regular intervals there will appear new mixtapes, mixed and composed by various DJ's from our friendcircle. The first one is done by the mixmaster himselff, "DJ SLAP". NICOLAS SASSOON - PATTERNS
The French artist and graphic designer "Nicolas Sasson", has a preference for abstract shapes and moving pictures. His colorful Gifs are looking like a virtual wallpaper or some of those futuristic neon signs of the early eighties. Simple and impressive.

OUR LEGACY - SMILE
"I think that smiling in public is against the law, cause love don't get you through life no more." The current SS13 collection by the Swedish menswear brand "Our Legacy" is calling "Smile" and offers some nice technical garments mixed up with classic cuts and colorful pieces like shirts or knitted sweaters. The well sourced fabrics are coming from small Italian manufactories and are further processed in Portugal.

RECORD OF THE MONTH - ASTRAL WEEKS
From time to time we would like to share some of the most important records of all time with you. Today we start with the second album "Astral Weeks" by the Northern Irish songwriter and singer "Van Morrison", recorded in 1968.
The album has had a heavily impact on listeners and other musicians from the different decades. Astral Weeks contains 8 spiritual songs, all written by Van Morrison, who just played with his acoustic guitar and lately added some different strings and horns by various jazz musicians who had never played together with him before. The result is more than impressive. Van himself said once: "You have to understand something,...A lot of this ... there was no choice. I was totally broke. So I didn't have time to sit around pondering or thinking all this through. It was just done on a basic pure survival level. I did what I had to do."
KALI UCHIS - DRUNKEN BABBLE
The female singer and artist "Kali Uchis" is living in California, where she recorded her first and totally underrated mixtape, called "Drunken Babble". A mixtape influenced by various music genres like rap, lo-fi, jazz and chopped sounds. We called: Cadillac Musique.
The mixtape is looping in heavy rotation and our whole back office is grooving to the smooth voice and lyrics by the young and sweet artist from the world known Bay area. Definitely an artist, which you should keep an eye on!
HAVE A NICE DAY - W.O.T.W
Today we present you a further mood blog that deals exclusively with temporary art and old graphic designs. The website "Have a nice Day" offer an insane selection of beautiful images mixed up with some unseen graphs from past decades.
We could spend hours digging through the archives, but prefer to crown this great blog as our "Website of The Week".
